SPECIAL SANDS AND GRITS
FAWLEY GRIT: 6mm sharp, crushed flint material, which is land based
LYDD GRIT: a 6mm down crushed horticultural grit, bluey/brown in colour, non-alkaline
POSTERN SAND: 5mm down, land based, darkish brown horticultural sharp sand, also
MOIST & LOOSE W60 SAND: coarse, medium rounded, horticultural silica sand for top dressing on its own, or mixed with loam. Suitable for bunker sand, long jump pits etc.
PLAY PIT SAND: Medium grade pale silica sand for play areas.
EQUINE SAND: washed fine silica sand suitable for riding schools -
we can also supply -
EQUINE RUBBER/FIBRE GRANULES: Approx 10mm - 30mm - an ideal additive to the Equine Sand to lighten and cushion the riding surface.
HARD LANDSCAPING MATERIALS
PURBECK LIMESTONE ROCKERY: a natural mellow limestone, creamy yellow through to grey/brown available in various sizes.
PURBECK WALLING AND CRAZY PAVING: an economical alternative to expensive sandstones and less susceptible to frost damage. Available in a variety of sizes
with a good colour consistency
GREEN SLATE ROCKERY: a smooth, subtle green, hard Rockery Stone
suitable for most garden designs.
PEBBLES COBBLES and BOULDERS: South Coast Cobbles Blue/Brown approx 2"- 3" (40-60mm approx) and 3"- 4" (75-100mm approx) North of Scotland Granite Pebbles and Cobbles, generally reddish- brown, grey or beige from less than 2 " (30mm) up to 16" (400mm) in size. Please note that Pebble and Cobble sizes quoted are based on the screened size - that is the smallest dimension that will pass through an appropriate screen. Usually Pebbles and Cobbles will have one dimension larger than the other. i.e. Egg shaped. BOULDERS : assorted from around 1/4 ton up to 1 ton or more PADDLESTONES : dark grey slate 6" - 10" for water features - available to order. SLATE STANDING STONES : variegated Green or Blue slate stones 1-2 metres high. Actual size and shape subject to availability from the quarry We can also supply drilled Boulders or Granite Spheres for water features and stone Tree Fossils as features. |

GEOTEXTILES & SPECIALIST MATERIALS
For weed control and stabilisation:-
TERRALYS LF 16/15 : DoT approved, black, woven polypropylene for path, drive and roadways 4.5 metres wide on 100 metre rolls
COVERTEX 18 HORT : a horticultural grade uva stabilised, black, woven polypropylene membrane 1 metre wide on a 100 metre roll or 2.05 metres wide on a 100 metre roll suitable for weed suppression on beds or paths and drives.
TERRAM ADVANTAGE: non-woven polyester. Polypropylene blend for weed suppression on planted beds or paths with light pedestrian usage. Roll sizes 2.25 metres wide on a 25 or 50 metre roll, also 4.5 metres wide x 100 metres.
STAPLES/PEGS : available for use with fabrics
GROUND REINFORCEMENT MATERIALS:
DU PONT GROUND GRID - Pack size 8M x 1.25M = 10M2 with
110mm x110mmx50mm cell size, suitable for paths and driveways.
NIDAPLAST SHEETS 2.4M x 1.2M = 2.88M2 with 40mm x 40mm x 45mm
cell size. Again suitable for both paths and drives.
Both types of material are suitable for filling with soil or gravels/chippings.
